I deleted a bunch of members whose email addresses ended with ".top". They are all pr0n bots. Marten pointed to one this morning but that was a new "*@*.top" user and I had not set the email filter correctly. Should be okay now I think.

Folks is it possible to change the default theme/colouring scheme of BGR? Or at least provide options for user to change when logged in? Since the colour is same as BRF, gets confusing sometimes.

Actually, it is the default theme of phpBB. I don't get the "Confusing" part, since BRF still carries the notice of the crash at the top

I have kept the older theme on BRF, so I can tell the difference. I actually wanted to ask if we can get the older BRF theme here as well

I just noticed we are assigning mil ranks to posters instead of BGR newbie, BGRite, BGR Oldie, etc. I always felt those mil ranked forums were childish and serious forums should not go down that path. Plus, mil ranks are earned by real warriors who work in the field, so should we use them for keyboard warriors?

I agree with Arshyam. Trainee, oldie etc. are better than military ranks.

guys, my google chrome just notified me that BGR is an unsafe site ti navigate as it no longer has the https:// and prone to virus attacks. Any idea about this or this is normal, not sure why the browser alerted me only today.

User Activation is moved to Admin, since the number of sign-ups are expected to be low. Also, Location field is made mandatory upon sign-up. This will be used to weed out bots.
